Moving Forward

How many times have you moved in your lifetime? I get dizzy just thinking about our moves. Growing up, my parents bought their first home when I was just a few months old. Of course, I don’t remember that move. But I remember when they bought this house in 1969. I was five and getting ready to start kindergarten. Someone in my family has been living in this house since then.

I moved to Riverside to attend college in 1982. I lived in two dorm rooms and then married housing. After that, Kevin and I moved another twelve times during our marriage of 36 years.

Come June, we will move yet again. This still won’t be the last place unless God deems otherwise. 🙂

Moving is exhausting. It’s exhausting just thinking about it. But we are in the throes. Say a prayer for us, please, as we sell the family home and start our next chapter.

  1. The part about moving I dislike is going from order to boxes which is just chaos to me. Then unpacking to create order again. The part about moving I like is the NEWness of fresh beginnings.
