The Lucky One

The Lucky One
Kaci Rigney

With openness and honesty
Sincerity in truth
He wooed the lucky one
With candor and with couth

A gentleman, by all accounts
Smooth and debonaire
In and out, a handsome man
Quick wit with which to share

Enthralled by all that filled her eyes
And all that thrilled her heart
For that perfect gentleman
She fell, right from the start

So at the alter hand in hand
Before people and their God
They said “I do” and shared a kiss
And no one found that odd
