Happy birthday to the greatest country in the world! Even in these days of quarantine, sheltering-in-place, and riots in the street, God’s Words says always give thanks. So here are a few things for which I am thankful.
I am thankful for Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness
offered to the citizens of these United States.
I am thankful I have a right to my vote and my voice.
I am thankful for American soldiers who have fought and are still fighting
to keep this country and it’s people free from tyranny.
I am thankful for the beauty of the majestic mountains.
I am thankful for the mighty ocean’s roar.
I am thankful for the lovely lakes and wondrous waterfalls.
I am thankful for luscious verdant valleys.
I am thankful for the ancient sequoias, the old oaks, and the weeping willows.
I am thankful for the glorious smell of the damp earth after a cleansing rain.
I am thankful for the wildflowers that bloom across the rolling hills.
I am thankful for the wild country and the busy cities.
I am thankful for the wide variety of music loved and shared.
I am thankful I have the freedom to worship God (even if it is at home in 2020.)
I am thankful for my lovely friends and my loving family.
I am thankful for America — “from sea to shining sea.”
I am thankful, God. I am thankful that you sent Your only Son, Jesus (Yeshua) to die in my place so that I may have a place in your kingdom. Thank you, God.
God Bless America!
