This Melody
A timbre rich and deep,
In blissful cadences,
This melody is my home.
I listen for his voice,
The voice which calls my name,
A timber rich and deep.
And when I hear him call,
My soul sings his name
In blissful cadences.
Stay within this moment
Singing this song with me.
This melody is my home.

A Cascade Poem: Structure: Stanzaic. A tercet (three lines – although I have seen up to six lines) Each of these three verses cascade throughout the poem. Line one becomes line three of the second stanza. Line two becomes line three of the third stanza, and line three becomes line three of the last stanza.

Seconding Kim’s welcome, Kaci. 🙂 What a warm, tonal poem, sound being so important, it rises and falls like a voice, speaks of love. Beautifully done cascade.
