How do you know when it’s time to unplug? What do you do to make it happen?
This week was a doozy. I attended an online writing conference called Spark Summit. Amazing! Three days (took me four) of 25 speakers. OMGoodness, so much great content, but brain overload. Insert Monty Python here. “My brain hurts.” It actually did.
I ended up day two and day three with headaches. Not used to being in school that long. 😂
On top of that, I was dealing with a dear friend who was having a life crisis. I worried about her and kept putting the videos on pause to answer her constant texts throughout the four day stretch.
Unplugging from the world is what I need; from the constant, from the noise.
But today I’ll be in a crowded room for more until 1 pm California time.
Lord, give me strength.
What do I do to unplug? I sit at the piano and sing. I read a book. I put on my favorite tunes. I meditate on the peace and promises of God’s word. My hubby and I take a lovely drive. I take a nap, if necessary.
What do you do to unplug and unwind?
I play Cookie Jam and Words with Friends on FB, read and watch YouTube true crime content.

I play a few games on my phone and watch shows too.
But sometimes I need to turn my phone off and unplug from the world.
