Sting Op
Doubts about this sting operation
Made FBI Agent Lope restless.
With implications for the nation,
This investigation relentless.
‘Neath a façade on a strip of land,
A frail looking woman lit a cig—
The signal. His Boss gave the command,
So his team jumped out of the big rig.
But someone there must have heard the noise,
For shots rang out from within the house.
“Cover!” yelled the agent to his boys,
As bullets ripped through the woman’s blouse.
Massive shootout on his watch that day;
Torn and bitter from this tragic loss.
What went awry? Why’d it end this way?
Curiosity. How were they crossed?
Could there maybe be a mole somewhere?
He vowed to find the culprit—the snitch.
To lose such good men; so hard to bear
The grief. Was it her? The dead frail witch?
Maybe they’d never now, someone said.
He’d never stop looking. Agent Lope
Vowed that this informant would be dead.
If not her, who here is dealing dope?
