I’m heartbroken for the people of Haiti. Haiti is in chaos—gas prices are in the teens per gallon, gangs have taken over, food is scarce, and people are being kidnapped and held for ransom. Please, keep the Haitians in your prayers.
Because of these factors, this online, international Music Fundamentals class is taking longer than planned. I’m not complaining, just stating facts. On October 11, 2021, we had our first class. It was daunting, to say the least. Technical difficulties for me, then them. But we got going and got it done. Whew! Since then, we haven’t been able to have class until this past Monday, November 22—that’s six weeks between classes.
This week, my class suffered more technical issues, so we started about half an hour late and had to finish early. It was dark there, and dark there is dangerous territory. These people needed to get home. But the class was excellent—a delightful group of people and smooth going. We reviewed and went into a little more detail than the first week, continuing to new information. I’m looking forward to next week.
