What time do you go to bed and wake up currently?
My hubby gets up between 4 and 5:30 AM. That’s an early day. No thank you. He works from home, but his internal clock buzzes and he is up and at ’em.
We like to spend our evenings binge watching some show or another. Kev’s eyes start drifting closed about 8:30 or so. I nudge him and he tells me he’s not asleep though sometimes I catch him snoring. π After several attempts to at least finish the episode, we turn for the bedroom and he is out like a light. I don’t blame him as he is up before the sun.
Me? Well, I usually lie there, tossing and turning for a bit, taking inventory of the day’s doings, then finally doze off about 9:30 or 10.
Morning dawns difficult with aches and pains drawing me from my dreams. I sit on the edge of the bed for a bit, acknowledging the hurting places and placating them with groans and sighs. I check the clock. It’s somewhere between 5:30 and 7:30. Good morning, Lord. Time for coffee.
I am not a morning person LOL Typically I go to bed between 1am and 2am then read for a bit. I get up between 11am and noon typically. I have sleep issues due to my autism and chronic pain.

I totally get the chronic pain keeping you up.
I didn’t know that autism can affect sleep. Both my husband and daughter are autistic. Interesting.
You do get some good reading time in. That’s nice!

For me it is the transition. The transition to go from what I was doing to stop doing it to get ready for bed. Then I repeat it with reading once in bed and I read till I literally cannot keep my eyes open and that’s how I transition to sleep. Then in the morning I start all over again.

I’m an early bird. Always have been. 4:45 on weekdays to get important stuff done (prayer) before work. If i sleep until 6 on a Saturday I’ve slept in!
