Ah! Travel. Something I think about every day. A writing retreat tickles my fancy these days, a cabin in the woods or a shanty by the sea. Well, maybe not a shanty. I do need some amenities. One of my novels takes place in the cities of Manhattan, New York and Venice, Italy. My travel bucket list is quite lengthy, but these two places I would like to visit and have first hand knowledge of the lay of the land. Likewise, my second novel is based near Basingstoke in the UK. Another place I would love to experience.
My husband and I toured Europe with a singing group in 2007. The photo above is from this trip. We gazed a structures older than our country in Germany, Austria, and we recorded in Prague. And ate in a restaurant, established in the 800’s (if memories serve me well) built inside a cave. The trip was amazing. Going abroad again would be balm for my soul. I need to save my pennies. Hmmm. Those Lincolns are kind of small. Maybe with inflation I should save the other Lincolns, or better yet, some Hamiltons.
Gotta run. Places to go and people to see!
Where would you travel? Any plans in the works?
Hawaii or an Alaskan cruise. But will not happen on my current budget LOL

Experiencing a place before you write your novel would really get your juices going.😊
