With my love, I’ve gone away
Respite I need within
Troubles hemmed me all around
But peace I find with him

Just the chance to rest a while
In the shelter of his arms
Is a balm unto my heart
He lures me with his charms

With my love, my days are bright
E’en in the thund’ring storm
With my love, the night is bliss
His arms to keep me warm

Just a glance into his eyes
My troubles fade to none
In his face, a life so fair
And love, bright as the sun
