I love the beach, but you’d probably laugh if you saw me there. I’d be the one covered from head to toe in a blanket or big beach towel. I have redhead skin, so I burn within just a few minutes even with 80 SPF and a hat. But I love the beach! I love the sound of the waves and the sand beneath my feet. Roaming the sea strand is a joy and seashells are a bonused treasure.
As a child, family camping trips marked our vacation plans, mostly to Calaveras Big Trees in California. What a joy those were! Mountain escapes bring precious memories to mind. Peaceful forests with trees as much as 2,000 years old, the great sequoias, a wonder to behold.
A difficult choice between the two, not an easy one. If I had to make a choice, mountains take the win.
What about you? Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?
Thalassophile here. The beach… Always the beach. 😊
