How are you creative?
God made me creative! I am so grateful!
Fun hobbies: photography, painting, drawing, playing guitar, piano, Native American flute, soprano and alto recorder, small percussion instruments.
I love to sing and write music.
I enjoy penning short stories. and poetry. By the grace of God, I self-published eight poetry books this year. Working on books nine and ten of a book series on how-to-write poetry.
And someday (hopefully soon) I’ll finish my two novels.
It’s a good thing that I have a wonderful husband to support my creative endeavors.

God’s gift indeed! Your diverse creative pursuits are inspiring. Eight poetry books this year—impressive! What’s your favorite artistic outlet?

That’s a good question. If you would have asked me up to three years ago I would have said singing. I have sung all my life. That’s all I ever wanted to do. God gave me a gift to soothes my soul and bring comfort and delight to many.
But when the pandemic hit and I couldn’t sing in public, I changed creative hats and poetry became my favorite. I wake up wanting to write. I think of phrases off and on all day. Now, my poetry brings comfort and delight to me and others.
I am so grateful to God for this gift as well. I will, of course, continue to sing and write music, but I love the fit of this new hat. 😉
