Alma Mater

What colleges have you attended?

I have my BA in music from California Baptist College (now University) I also took a couple of summer music classes from Los Medanos Community College.

Over the years, I’ve used my degree to sing and teach music publicly and privately.

Where did you attend university/college?

Did you get a masters degree or doctorate?

Do you work in your field of study?

Ooo, Blackbird is a beautiful song. Keep practicing. Learn the guitar part by memory. So well you don’t have to look, even at your hands. Then add the vocals or vice versa. Then you don’t need to worry about both. 🙂
    Good luck!!

  2. I can sing… sorta… in the shower…or in the car with the karaoke version of a song playing. I can play guitar. What I find exceedingly difficult is to sing while playing. If it’s an easy 3-chord song with a simple melody, it’s not too bad, good enough for a campfire. But if either the chords or melody are complex, ugh! 😂 Trying to master “Blackbird,” playing along with iTunes… Sir Paul makes it seem easy 😉🤷‍♂️

  3. Where did you attend university/college? I attended Salem Bible college to get my associate in religion (basically the degree to get all the credentials required to be a licensed pastor in the AG church) Salem Bible no longer exists as it merged with another college to go from a 2 year unaccredited college to a 4 year accredited collage. Then I went to Eugen Bible collage to get a BS in Christian counseling. But Eugene Bible also no longer exists as it too merged with another college to go from a 4 year unaccredited collage to be a 4 year accredited college. Because both collages were unaccredited ZERO of my credits were eligible to transfer to a masters program. Life lesson learned too late.
So no masters degree. I have an unusable BS degree too as Oregon requires a minimum of a Masters to be a licensed counselor as with zero of my classes eligible to transfer and I also had zero of the other classes required for a bachelors degree (math, science etc.) My degree is useless.
So that answers the 3rd question of nope I never became a licensed pastor or counselor.

    1. Wow! All that schooling and you can’t use your degree? I’m so sorry. Bummer.
I’m sure there is a reason for all of your work.
God has and will use you in great ways.
      Thanks for answering.
      Success in the new year!
      Blessings

      1. Despite not working in the field of study I still learned valuable information from all that schooling. So it has not gone to waste.
