I built my first snowman just a few years ago (in my late fifties nonetheless.) So much fun! Never really had the opportunity before. I’m the one in red in the photo.

First Snowman

I built a snowman!
Man!
My very first one.
One,
Two, three balls of snow.
Snow
Fell in giant flakes,
Flakes
I could not resist.
Resist
Urges to stay in.
In
Where it’s nice and warm.
Warm
Gloves and borrowed hat.
Hat
For my first snowman.
Man!
California girl;
Girl
Where it seldom snows.
Snow’s
Cold but lots of fun!
Fun
Time with my sister.
Sister
Couldn’t believe me.
Me?
I said I never,
Never
Built a snowman.
Snowman!

  8. Kaci, I know that thrill (second hand) having the joy of helping my Georgia niece and nephew build their first snowman! They were so surprised that the snow was so cold! (they were 7 and 5)
