What makes you feel nostalgic?
- Grandma Cutshaw’s Coca-Cola ham. We cook it every year for Christmas.
- Remembering laughter around the table with 12 of us playing canasta at Grandma’s. Crazy fun.
- Christmas ornaments that have been passed to me from my parents, from Grandma.
- Putting up Santa and Mrs. Claus that Grandma made in ceramics.
- Singing Christmas carols with my family. I can still hear Mom’s alto and Randy’s tenor with my soprano.
- Singing the old hymns of the faith. Their meanings, deep and abiding. Again, I can still hear my mom who has been gone since 2002. These hymns bring comfort, smiles, and tears.
- Calaveras Big Trees.
I love to read how others celebrate things and traditions that have fond memories. Happy New Year!

I love your list of nostalgia. Family time is the most precious. Those family songs and carols, the games around the table, the traditions passed down are simply the best. Your words brought back many memories. Thank you for that reminder. A lot of my family is in Heaven now waiting for me to join them. Blessings!!
